Dr. Murphy is an MCPHS University graduate and earned her bachelor’s degree from Castleton University. Dr. Murphy is a Southern Vermont native and spent her summers living with family in Kennebunkport before moving to Poland, Maine. After working with an optometrist in a small private practice through high school and college, she set her path on becoming an eye doctor herself. Throughout her optometric education, she focused on the anterior segment, dry eye, and specialty contact lenses, and enjoyed spending time working on complex scleral lens cases at the Northeastern Eye Institute in Scranton, PA for one of her externship rotations. Her rotations also included the Togus VA and Providence Community Health Center. She is glad to be back in Maine and can be found at the beach or painting in her free time.
