Dejan Varagic, O.D., is a versatile optometrist with Maine Optometry. He loves helping patients make the most of their sight and specializes in services from post-surgery care to treating conditions more prevalent in pediatric patients.
Dr. Varagic’s Education & Experience
A Saint Joseph’s College biology graduate, Dr. Varagic gained interest in optometry while studying under Dr. Hamilton at Maine Optometry. He furthered his education at NOVA Southeastern University, earning a Doctor of Optometry and a Bachelor’s in Vision Science with Beta Sigma Kappa honors. His learning continued at Atlanta’s Omni Eye Services, specializing in post-surgical care for LASIK, cataract, and glaucoma patients.

Get to Know Dr. Varagic
Dr. Varagic was born in a small farming village in Serbia, but grew up in Portland and attended Deering High School. When he’s not working with patients, you can find Dr. Varagic spending time at the beach or dining at one of Portland’s many restaurants. He also enjoys activities like fishing, boating, and traveling.
