Meet Dr. Andre Achenbach
Andre Achenbach O.D., is an experienced optometrist and owner of Maine Optometry. He is currently welcoming new patients at our Lewiston and Gorham offices.
Dr. Achenbach’s Experience 
Dr. Achenbach completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and his Doctorate of Optometry at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He graduated first in his optometric class and received honors of clinical excellence in contact lenses and pediatrics. After graduating, Dr. Achenbach trained at Chickasaw Indian Health Corporation and Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. He also completed his pediatric specialty rotation at The Eye Institute and a contact lens rotation at Broward Eyecare. After starting as an associate, Dr. Achenbach is now a partner at Maine Optometry.

Get to Know Dr. Achenbach
Although Dr. Achenbach was born in Pennsylvania, he grew up in a small fishing village close to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. He enjoys the enthusiastic atmosphere of Maine Optometry and his favorite part about the practice is its passional staff and great patients. Dr. Achenbach is also bilingual in French and English.
