Meet Grant Wood, O.D.
Dr. Grant Wood is an optometrist at Maine Optometry dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality eye care for patients of all ages. Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Wood brings a thoughtful, patient-first approach to every visit, with a strong focus on comprehensive eye exams and customized contact lens solutions. He proudly serves patients at both our Lewiston and Brunswick locations.
Education & Training
Dr. Wood earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University before going on to receive his Doctor of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio.
His clinical training included externships at the Contact Lens Institute of San Antonio at Alamo Eye Care, where he developed advanced skills in specialty and scleral contact lens fitting. He also completed training at the Lewiston-Auburn VA Clinic in Maine, gaining valuable experience in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease in veteran populations.
