Meet Dr. Erin Murphy
Erin Murphy, O.D., is an optometrist at Maine Optometry. While scleral lens fittings are her specialty, she’s also passionate about providing eye disease management to patients through different forms of treatment.
Dr. Murphy’s Experience
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Castleton University, Dr. Murphy graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a focus on the anterior segment, dry eye, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Murphy’s externship rotation was with Northeastern Eye Institute, where she worked on complex scleral lens cases. She completed additional rotations at the Togus VA and Providence Community Health Center.

Get to Know Dr. Murphy
Dr. Murphy’s love for eye care grew while working with an optometrist in a small private practice through high school and college, which inspired her to become an eye doctor. She enjoys living in Maine and is excited to serve her local community. When she’s not caring for patients in the community, she spends her free time by the beach and painting.
