Jeff Dziadosz, Optical Director, Aboc


Jeff Dziadosz started with Maine Optometry as an ABO certified optician in 2017 and was named optical director in 2018. Prior to Maine Optometry, Jeff spent 12 years in optical management with Luxottica Retail of North America. During that time he achieved his ABO certification and donated his time to One Sight Foundation, a non-profit organization creating access to eye care for those in need.

After attending the University of Massachusetts, Jeff started his career in a small retail startup which resulted in ownership. After selling to a publicly traded company, Jeff worked for Sunbelt Business Advisors as a senior business advisor assisting private business owners in valuating and preparing their businesses for sale.

Jeff resides in South Portland with his wife, 2 active boys, and their dog, Tilly. When not working, Jeff enjoys skiing, hiking, cycling, and spending time with friends and family.

Krista Cordner, Patient Experience Director


Krista Cordner joined the Maine Optometry team in 2016, quickly transitioned into the central scheduling supervisor and was named the Patient Experience Director in 2019. Krista’s duties include travelling between all eight practice locations offering support and training to all Maine Optometry employees so they are prepared to offer the best possible service to all patients.

Previously, Krista had been part of the management team at a national bank where she managed up to 400 employees at any given time. While there, she received awards for her performance metrics. She also oversaw the Women in Leadership committee and was a member of the Diversity and Inclusion team for the bank’s employees.

Krista was born in Washington state and grew up both there and in Maine. She currently resides in Lewiston where she enjoys being outdoors and doing activities such as hiking and do-it-yourself furniture restoration. She is also an avid animal and plant lover.

Steve Amico, Director of Operations


Steve Amico joined Maine Optometry in late 2019 as the Director of Operations. Steve spent ten years in health care leadership roles throughout New England and brings an impressive operations leadership and consulting background experience to Maine Optometry.

After earning a B.S. in Leadership from the University of Maine, Steve went on to complete his Executive MBA in 2019 at the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Maine Optometry, he has most recently served as the Director of Lean Transformation at Covenant Health in Lewiston, Maine.

A Massachusetts native, Steve currently lives in Cumberland with his wife, son, and Goldendoodle, Digger. He loves to explore the state, but his main goal is to visit every lighthouse on the rugged, beautiful coast of Maine.

Samantha Smith, Director of Human Resources


Samantha Smith joined the Maine Optometry team in January 2020 as the Director of Human Resources. Samantha’s duties include talent and performance management, employee relations and communicating and cultivating the Maine Optometry culture.

Samantha earned her B.S. in HR Management from Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine. She also earned her SHRM-CP certification in 2017. Prior to joining the Maine Optometry team, Samantha worked in the Human Resources departments of both Saint Joseph’s College and InterMed.

A Lewiston, Maine, native Samantha currently lives in Gray with her husband, son, and pug named Bruin. She loves spending her free time outside, adventuring through the great state of Maine, or relaxing at her coastal camp in Harpswell.
