Dr. Cousins was born and raised in Milford, Maine. She graduated from Old Town High School and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Maine, Orono. During her undergraduate years, she studied abroad in Perth, Australia with her sister.
Dr. Cousins attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. She was recognized in the area of Vision Therapy, receiving the COVD Excellence in Vision Therapy Award upon graduation. During her time in optometry school, Dr. Cousins discovered her passion for vision therapy by helping local elementary students improve their reading and other visual skills in an after-school program. Dr. Cousins also regularly participated in outreach events during school, serving the community by providing free eye care to those in need.
Dr. Cousins enjoys rollerskating, cross country skiing, road trips, and hanging out with her dog Zoë in her free time. She is very excited to return to her home state to practice optometry and looks forward to meeting you!
